Maggie Grace was born Margaret Grace Denig in September 21 in 1983. She is an American actress best known for her role as Shannon Rutherford in ABC TV show Lost. Following the divorce of her parents, she left Worthington Ohio in order to settle with her family in Los Angeles. Although she was struggling financially in 2001, her debut came in the role of Rachel's Room's principal character. She went on to earn an Young Artist Award nomination in 2002 with her portrayal of 15-year-old murder victim Martha Moxley in the television movie Murder in Greenwich. Grace played Shannon Rutherford on the Lost television show in 2004. The show featured her as the principal character for two seasons and also won a Screen Actors Guild Award. Grace decided to concentrate on film after playing opposite Tom Welling's character on The Fog, in 2005. Grace has been as Kim Mills in Suburban Girl The Jane Austen Book Club as well in 2007 and in Taken with Liam Neeson in 2008 as Kim Mills. She played the same role as Kim Mills in Taken 2 and Taken 3 (both 2012). Grace played the role as Shannon in two more episodes of Lost which included the finale of the series. In 2013, Grace appears in Californianation, the sixth season. The actress portrays Faith as a groupie and also a model for the stars. Hank Moody is played by David Duchovny. She's a Gyllenhaal, the daughter of Stephen Gyllenhaal (director) and Naomi Achs (producer), and is more senior in age than Jake Gyllenhaal. The first time she appeared in films of her father as an adolescent. Together with her brother she also appeared in Donnie Darko (2000). The year 2002 saw her starred as a character in Adaptation Confessions of a Dangerous Mind. Also, she appeared on Mona Lisa Smile (2003). Gyllenhaal received nominations for the Golden Globe Award in both the drama Sherrybaby (2005) and the romance comedy Secretary (2002). Both films received acclaim from critics. In 2006, she starred in several commercially successful films, such as World Trade Center. However, it was her role as Rachel Dawes that brought her more attention with The Dark Knight (2008). Nominated for an Academy Award as Best Supporting Actress for her role on the film Crazy Heart, (2009). Following that, she went on to appear in comedy films as well as dramas such Nanny McPhee And The Big Bang (2010) Hysteria (2011) as well as Won't Back Down (12). Other parts include acting as a Secret Service agent of the Secret Service in White House Down 2013 as well as a vocalist in Frank 2014 and as a singer the role of a teacher in The Kindergarten Teacher 2018, in which she plays the title character. In 2021 Gyllenhaal was able to make her writing and directing debut in the psychological drama The Lost Daughter for which she won the Venice International Film Festival's Best Screenplay Award and was nominated for the Academy Award for Best Adapted Screenplay.
